School Age Care

We have a variety of School Age programs to meet the needs of our working families. Each of our programs are run by highly qualified staff who are trained school age Out of School Time professionals who are Dearborn Public School Employees. Our programs are currently Kids Club Before and After School at eight schools. Kids Club requires a minimum or TWO DAYS enrollment per child per week with a consistent schedule. This means the same days each week. If you need to add a day we can only do that if there is room at the site, please your kids club teacher for availability. A minimum enrollment at each site is required to maintain each site.

We do have Kids Club for the students at STEM at the Montessori building and for the students at Divine Child Elementary School who are escorted over the Haigh by a DC staff member. Here are some important points we do not want you to miss: : 1. We do not credit your account for illness. We do appreciate you letting the classroom teacher or Kids Club site know if your child will not be attending; however, we cannot credit your account. If your child will be out for an extended period of time please contact our office to discuss your situation. 2. We do not credit your account for vacations taken by your family during your regular schedule. Your payment secures your child’s spot. 3. There will not be credits for weather or building issues. 4. Please remember you must have a REGULAR weekly schedule that is consistent. Every other week or a “rotating schedule” does not work for our system. 5. Early Release Tuesday

We understand the challenges that parents face when juggling work commitments and their child's early release from school. That's why we are thrilled to introduce our Early Release Care Program, designed to provide a safe, enriching, and supportive environment for your child every Tuesday from 2:30 PM to 6:00 PM.

Our program is more than just childcare – it's an opportunity for your child to engage in meaningful activities, build new friendships, and continue their learning journey in a relaxed setting. Here's why our Early Release Care Program stands out:

Trained Staff for Your Child's Safety and Development: We prioritize your child's safety and well-being. Our dedicated staff members are not only CPR and first aid certified, but they are also experienced and compassionate individuals who are passionate about working with children. Their expertise in handling emergencies and providing essential medical care ensures that your child is in capable hands at all times.

Future Teachers Fostering Growth: At our Early Release Care Program, your child will be under the guidance of future educators. Our staff members are pursuing careers in teaching, bringing a wealth of knowledge and creativity to our program. This means your child will have the opportunity to engage in thoughtfully planned activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development, setting the stage for future success.

Enriching Activities Tailored to Your Child's Interests: We believe in the power of exploration and learning through play. Our program offers a variety of engaging activities, from arts and crafts to interactive games and educational projects. We tailor our offerings to your child's interests and developmental level, creating an environment where they can thrive and discover new passions.

A Sense of Belonging and Community: We strive to create a warm and inclusive atmosphere where every child feels welcome and valued. Through collaborative activities and group projects, your child will have the opportunity to build lasting friendships and develop essential social skills.

Flexibility to Suit Your Schedule: We understand that parents have unique schedules, which is why we offer extended care until 6:00 PM. This allows you to focus on your work commitments while having the peace of mind that your child is engaged in a safe and fulfilling environment.

As we launch our Early Release Care Program, we invite you to be part of this exciting journey. Join us in providing your child with an experience that combines care, education, and fun every Tuesday afternoon.
