WHFR Radio Staff Training

Spring 2025

Experience local radio broadcasting and maybe even become a volunteer staff member with WHFR Radio Staff Training.  Radio station rules and procedures, basic equipment operation and performance skills will be covered.  WHFR is an independent, non-commercial, FM broadcast radio station, operating from Henry Ford College, with a student and alumni volunteer staff of about 60 persons.  WHFR provides programming every day of the year and also broadcasts a world-wide live stream through its website, www.whfr.fm.  WHFR features an "Alternative Variety" format-- music and information little heard elsewhere on other Detroit area stations, including local, independent music topical local news and public affairs.  "This is a Hybrid with some on-line component and some on -campus,

Classes meets weekly in the HFC Student Center (M Building) Room M-117, on the main campus of Henry Ford College Student Center Room M-119, 5101 Evergreen Road, in Dearborn.
